Introduced in 2008, earthbalance is our award winning sustainability programme. 

Encompassing all of the sustainability activity at Crown, earthbalance is our commitment to be more sustainable, less wasteful and to help our customers make responsible decisions about our world.

REDUCTIONS & TARGETS

Since 2008, we’ve achieved a 6.3% reduction in our Greenhouse Gas emissions and having previously surpassed our electricity reduction target, amongst other successes, we felt that 2015 was a good point to re-focus and re-evaluate our targets before setting some new ones. 

In order to build on our knowledge and success, and to widen the scope of the programme, we’ve re-established our baseline and set new targets for the coming years.

OUR TARGETS FOR 2016 AND BEYOND

• Energy – 10% reduction by 2016 
• Waste – 10% reduction by 2016 
• Greenhouse Gas Emissions – 7.5% reduction by 2020 
• Water – 5% reduction by 2016

Over the past few years our earthbalance programme has been recognised with a number of awards, with us most recently named as Sustainable Business of the Year at the Lloyds Bank 2015 National Business Awards!
